Community Service Project: Little Free Libraries

East Salem Rotary promotes literacy all year long with our Little Free Libraries. Our libraries are so heavily used, we have found that we are in great need of children’s books right now, especially for elementary-age students. We have a book order in process through the Book Bin, but we need donated books while we wait for them to arrive. We are asking club members to please bring children’s books to club meetings if you can, and we will happily label them and use them to fill our nine libraries. We also hope to engage our local schools in book drives so that our area youth will help keep our little libraries stocked throughout the year. You may also contact club members Maureen Casey or Catherine Carlson to donate new or gently used children’s books, or to donate money to purchase books.
