Our most recent Market Street cleanup took place Saturday, February 16th. Six club members met at the Swegle Boys & Girls Club at 8:30 a.m. and took care of the cleanup in about an hour and a half. A club member is shown concentrating on his work.

The Rotary Club of East Salem has been approved to receive a district grant of $1000 to help fund the building of an outdoor playground at La Placita. The grant funds will be supplemented by $1000 from the club to purchase the equipment. Club members will build the playground later in the spring.

We had a great turnout for the Market Street cleanup that took place last Saturday. Ten club members and a five-year-old assistant tidied up Market Street and completed the job in a little over an hour.
