This year two students from Blanchet Catholic School have been awarded East Salem Rotary scholarships for their winning essays on the 2020-21 Rotary International theme “Rotary Opens Opportunities.” The students were asked to write about how they see and understand how Rotary can open opportunities to individuals and groups to help produce a better future for all. These are seniors who are college-bound, and they shared information on their leadership abilities and leadership roles in school, work, and community. The money for these scholarships comes directly from the dollars we raise from our annual spring flower basket fundraiser. Congratulations to these deserving students, and we look forward to meeting them at a club Zoom meeting in the near future.
