East Salem Rotary’s Little Free Library project was featured recently in an article posted by the Salem Reporter. Community service committee chair Maureen Casey explained the importance of supporting literacy in our east Salem area, and shared about our ongoing efforts to obtain books to keep our ten libraries filled. Children in east Salem do not have a city library located nearby, so the East Salem Rotary libraries have been a well-used resource for them. We always welcome donations of new or gently used children’s books or money to purchase books. You can contact us at eastsalemrotary@yahoo.com.
