We now have another little free library, built and installed by club member Ken Morin, located near the Redeemer Lutheran Church on north Lancaster Drive. The library is right in front of the community garden containing the raised garden beds we built originally at the now-closed La Placita Community Center. It is also located next door to the Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) Early Head Start Center, which means we will have lots of potential readers close by to use this library. We expect this to be a well-used library, and will need plenty of children’s books in English and Spanish to keep it stocked. We have seven dedicated club members who have adopted our libraries. Please contact Maureen Casey or Catherine Carlson to donate new or gently used children’s books, or to donate money to purchase books.
