East Salem Rotary dedicated the funds raised from the weekly raffle in February to support the PolioPlus Fund. This fund, part of The Rotary Foundation, supports the eradication of polio throughout the world. Polio cases have been reduced by 99.9% since Rotary’s first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. Today, polio remains endemic in only three countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Nigeria. Our club raised $186 to support this important cause. Want to donate directly to the PolioPlus fund?
